Message Just off the presses :-) Ok maybe not but I wanted to share with you guys what are the results of my drive shaft upgrade since its a point of much concern to alot of people who are wanting to do it.

Here are the results

My stock drive shaft weighed in at 29.5lbs
My Power Train Drive Shaft weighed almost 12.5 lbs

So the alum drive shaft is 2.28 times lighter which is quite a difference..

Now I haven't really hammered it yet (ok I did a bit) but was able to tell an increase in performance. I would say that my car felt like it was running 1.1 bar versus 1.0 bar (which is what it is really set at) so there atleast a 10RWHP Gain if not more. But thats not the biggest thing I noticed about this driveshaft the first thing I noticed was how SMOOTH it felt. There was huge difference I am trying to illustrate as best as I can how much better it felt versus the old drive shaft. My car use to jerk quite alot when I would engage (mostly because of the RPS Pressure plate and ACT 6 Puct copper disk) which I believe was putting pressure on the joint. Now the power seems to move the wheels with less jerkiness (almost none actually). When coasting the car feels very solid and very responsive but also more refined.

So I would definitly would recommend this mod if you have $330 bucks to burn and want a bit more horsepower and alot more refiniment..

I wish I could have dyno'd the car before and after to get some true results but it wasn't available (actually I need to get my car dyno'd in general).
